Students from Roger Williams University headed to Hispaniola - the Caribbean island home to Haiti and the Dominican Republic - in early January for a two-week study abroad session in which they lived with local families and learned how the island's history has shaped its current political, social and economic climate. Students also explored the island's healthcare infrastructure, learned about health issues specific to the region and how care is delivered at local hospitals and clinics.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2015-16 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Husson University is pleased to announce their Fall 2015 Honors List. Students who earn Honors List recognition must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.4 to 3.59 during the period.

A new group of student-leaders have taken their place in the College's Student Government Association (SGA) for the 2015-16 academic year. SGA is a student-run organization that represents the undergraduate student body and works closely with College administration to share students' concerns and to support student clubs and organizations.

Approximately 600 candidates for graduation were eligible to walk in Coastal Carolina University's fall 2015 commencement ceremonies. South Carolina state superintendent of education Molly M. Spearman advised the Class of 2015 not to forget their roots as they go forward in their lives and careers.

On Sunday, November 1, The Assumption College Honors Program inducted 79 new members from the Class of 2019 before an audience of administrators, faculty and families. The Honors Program at Assumption College is a demanding, intensive curriculum that seeks to challenge each student to achieve his or her full potential within a supportive community of peers. Regardless of major, the Honors Program empowers students to challenge themselves and explore their passion with similarly motivated students. Students inducted into the Program are encouraged to select courses and projects that reflect their individual interests and to connect their classroom studies with experiences in the community.

The College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y., today announced that 779 students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2014 semester. Full-time students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail are eligible for the Dean's List.
